Out of 262 patients with penetrating injuries of the esophagus there were 24 patients with multiple and 2 patients with associated injuries. Diagnosis of multiple and associated injuries may be facilitated by a careful roentgenological examination and diagnostic esophagoscopy. Most of the patients with multiple injuries of the esophagus are liable to operative treatment.
