Dromedaries were injected intramuscularly with therapeutic doses of benzylpenicillin, streptomycin, chloramphenicol and oxytetracycline (at dose rates of 6000 IU, 10 mg, 4 mg and 3 mg per kg body weight, respectively). Respective peak serum concentrations were reached after 0.42, 1.44, 4.02 and 0.94 hours, with alpha half lives of 0.12, 0.28, 1.48 and 0.17 hours, and beta half lives of 1.09, 8.28, 6.2 and 7 h, respectively.
