Zinc-deficient states in man

Pathology seen in zink deficiency in man is presented. In the antenatal period this deficiency leads to the delivery of immature fetuses and development of congenital malformations. In the postnatal period, zink deficiency can be produced by endogenic, exogenic, and iatrogenic causes. Zink deficient states are characterized by various clinical signs.
