Effect of denervation on contractile properties of stinger flexor muscle in the scorpion Heterometrus fulvipes (C. Koch)

In laboratory studies in India, changes in the contractile properties of the stinger flexor muscle in the scorpion Heterometrus fulvipes (Koch) following denervation were examined kymographically. The results showed that there were significant changes in the responsiveness of the muscle during the early stages of denervation and gradual recovery in 1 month. There were corresponding changes in the sensitivity of the muscle to acetylcholine.
