Parenteral lorazepam and nalbuphine were used in combination for 30 local anesthetic ophthalmic surgery cases. Clinical responses follow the known responses, and adverse side effects are minimal. The unique administrative, sedative, amnestic and analgesic effects of this combination recommend its use as an ophthalmic premedication.
