The influence of physiological aging of A. c. dorsalis females of the population from the environs of Moscow and oviposition period on the state of eggs laid was studied. The relationship between the physiological age of females and emergence of larvae in the season of oviposition from egg laying to the end of the second 10 days of Aug. was retraced. The number of diapausing eggs increases with the physiological aging of females. There was no relation between physiological age of females and larval emergence from eggs laid in the autumn; most of the larvae were in autumn diapause. Some influence of the physiological age of females on the emergence of the larvae when out of diapause was discovered.
