The following is virtually the authors' abstract. Insecticide residues in fish of several species from the estuary near Pensacola, Florida, monitored from April 1964 to November 1965, are compared with residues in fish exposed to DDT in the laboratory. The amount of DDT in fish exposed for five weeks to p.p'DDT at a concentration of 0.1 part/109 did not increase after the second week, when maximum concentrations reached 38 000 times that in the test water.
