An analysis is made of the food and nutrition situation in Peru by different ecological areas, especially in the Andes and Sierra regions, Littoral zone and Puno department. Economic aspects and data results are presented of a food consumption survey, supply and demand, nutrient requirements and malnutrition problems. Details are given of the methodology of the study and recommendations are made for food policy and nutrition programmes available from improved agricultural production.
