The present paper discuses some aspects of antenatal care and delivery health practices among the Baigas of Samnapur block of Dindori district, Madhya Pradesh, India. Baiga in one of the most primitive tribal groups of central India. The findings revealed that unawareness and poor economic conditions are the major causes for not utilizing the antenatal and delivery health services by some people. The findings suggests the need to inform mothers about the availability and benefits of antenatal care and modern delivery health care services, to help and overcome traditional attitude for delivery health practices.
