Data were presented on the relationship between maximal track length and nucleus charge in cellulose nitrate. Identification of heavy nuclei of cosmic radiation with respect to charge using the method described showed that the accuracy 0.5-0.3 U of charge in the region of charges is achieved during measurement of track lengths with a high error of 300-400 .mu.m.
