Nocardia asteroides, N. brasiliensis, Phialophora gougerotii, Microsporum gypseum and Basidiobolus meristosporus were cultured from soil samples. Neither Histoplasma capsulatum nor Cryptococcus neoformans was present in any of the 354 soil samples.
