Experimental evidence is presented to suggest a reverse relationship between the tumor growth rate and the activity of catabolic enzymes of amino acid metabolism. Irrespective of histogenesis, the degree of anaplasia and the tumor growth rate, a new biochemical property is revealed in the process of malignancy, i.e., loss of activity, disappearance of allosteric properties and of the level control in a number of the key organ-specific enzymes of nitrous metabolism (threonine and serine dehydratase, histidase, diamine oxidase, asparagine synthetase, etc.).
