The activity and tolerability of a high-titer total adrenocortical extract administered at high dosage and for prolonged periods (90 days), in addition to traditional antitubercular therapy, were tested. This treatment proved to be effective; side effects were not observed; local and systemic tolerance were excellent no difference was found between patients treated with 400 and 600 U.
