Cardiorespiratory function was followed in 112 patients with bronchial asthma. A comprehensive examination of the central and peripheral hemodynamics, as well as of blood O2 transport function was carried out with the use of variation statistics and correlation analysis. During bronchial asthma exacerbation, there are changes in the central and peripheral hemodynamics and in blood O2 transport function of varying character and depth. Differences in correlations between the cardiac index, systemic arterial pressure, O2 tension in the arterial blood, heart rate, muscle blood flow and pulmonary blood flow; attest to the abnormality of the natural regulation mechanisms and to the labilization of their characteristics correlations. Apparently, during bronchial asthma deep pathogenetic changes occur in the body and evaluation of these changes might be conducive to the efficacy of therapy.
