Health resorts in rehabilitation of patients with ischemic heart disease subjected to the aortocoronary bypass and resection of heart aneurysm

The results of rehabilitation of 107 patients with ischemic heart disease who were operated on for coronary shunting and/or underwent resection of heart aneurism were analyzed. The rehabilitative measures performed during the sanatorium stage included drugs, exercise and psychic factors, thereby making it possible to reach the improvement of the patients' fitness for work. Positive time course of the ECG was recorded in 55 (51.4%) of patients. Eighty-five (79.5%) of the patients mainifested an increased tolerance to exercise. In 77 (71.9%) of the patients, the characteristics of the maximal O2 consumption allowed the conclusion to be drawn that these patients belong to a category of subjects with moderately limited working capacity or without limitation of physical activity.
