Extraorbital branches of ophthalmic artery in human fetuses

Studies were performed on 60 human fetuses. The site of origin, course, ramifications and anastomoses of the extraorbital branches of ophthalmic artery (supratrochlear and supraorbital ones) were determined in order to establish the most suitable area for the application of the head of a UDP-10 ultrasonic detector which serves to measure the velocity of arterial blood flow, in this case in the branches of the ophthalmic artery.
