Supernumerary segmental branches of the renal artery

Additional segmental vessels constituting primary branches of the single renal artery were examined. The supernumerary vessels reaching the anterior and the posterior surface, and the inferior pole of the kidney could be distinguished. The topography and the vascularization range of supernumerary branches were assessed.
