A total of 160 strains of P. aeruginosa isolated from 5309 different clinical (human) specimens were aeruginocin typed using 10 indicator strains. The inhibition patterns were classified according to aeruginocin types and mnemonic coding system for reporting aeruginoic typing patterns. The use of 2 additional indicator strins (AIIMS 785/76 and AIIMS 790/76) reduced the non-typability from 59.37% to 25%. Classifiability was improved by using 2 additional indicator strains and the mnemonic coding system.
