Thirty-two children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, (among them many belonging to risk group), the treatment of whom was terminated during remission, are presented. [Treatment consisted of chemotherapy sometimes combined with radiotherapy.] One child died, but in the remaining patients remissions have persisted. A relapse occurred in 5 cases and in 4 of them it was controlled. With the intensification of treatment during years 1961-1975, the number of children in whom the treatment could be terminated increased.
