The action of p-aminosalcylates and tetrahydro-1,3,5-thiadiazine derivatives were tested on 4 yeasts (Candida albicans, C. stellatoides, Cryptococcus neoformans and C. laurentii) and 6 fungi (Aspergillus fumigatus, A. niger, A. flavus, Penicillium sp., Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum). The substances were 4-(.alpha.-furfurylamino-thiocarbonyl-mercapto)-acetylaminosalicylic acid, 4-(.alpha.-benzylamino-thiocarbonylmercapto)-acetylaminosalicylic acid, 4-(.alpha.-methylfurfurylamino-thiocarbonyl-mercapto)-acetylaminosalicylic acid, 4-(.alpha.-triazole-2-aminothiocarbonyl-mercapto)-acetylaminosalicylic acid, 4-(.alpha.-methylthiazole-2-aminothiocarbonyl-mercapto)-acetylaminosalicylic acid and .alpha.-(3-furfuryl-2-thiotetrahydro-1,3,5-thiadiazin-5-yl)-.alpha.-phenylacetic acid.
