The efficacy of local treatment with an analgetic, antirheumatic-decontracturing combination (with and without the active ingredient, diethylamine salicylate) was compared with oxyphenbutazone, the therapeutic usefulness of which has been confirmed. Local treatment is effective in most common osteo-articulo-muscular disorders. Both combinations were more effective than oxyphenbutazone. Systemic side effects were never observed; skin side effects were exceptional.
