Two case reports are given of patients suffering from Yersinia infection; one of these showed symptoms of enteritis, the other one symptoms of appendicitis. Both cases would have been misdiagnosed as Crohn's disease, had there not been the serological prove of Yersinia infection. The disease entity of Yersinia infection and the diagnostic approach are described.
