Lincomycin hydrochloride was used to medicate three herds with swine dysentery. The dosages were 4 mg/kg body weight added to the feed of adult stock for 3-6 weeks, and 110 g/tonne feed in young weaned pigs. Dimetridazole therapy (200 ppm) had already been instituted, and was continued for 6 months after the withdrawal of lincomycin. During the following 12-20 months no recurrence of dysentery occurred.
