A combined intranasal infection of albino mice with staphylococci and ornithosis agent is discussed. The latter had no stimulating effect on the staphylococcal infection. The lungs were cleared of staphylocci 2 days after the infection in both combined and monoinfection. When reproducing a generalized staphylococcal infection by retroorbital introduction of the agent, foci were found most often in kidneys, liver and heart; no foci were seen in the lungs irrespective of whether the animals were preliminarily infected by the ornithosis agent or not. A combined ornithosis-staphylococcal infection was caused only against a background of a changed initial total reactivity of albino mice.
