A case is reported in a 50-yr-old man. Undiluted cerebrospinal fluid was positive by latex agglutination for cryptococcal antigen and was later positive by complement fixation. Cryptococcus neoformans was cultured from cerebrospinal fluid. Therapy with amphotericin B and flucytosine [5-fluorocytosine] was successful.
