The linkage relationship between the morphological locus nig for black pupa and the biochemical locus Est-1 in Ceratitis capitata (Wied.), was studied in the laboratory in Argentina. Although meiosis in the male was typically chiasmatic, the results obtained suggest that recombination does not take place.
