IR-spectra of the cell wall, cytoplasm, peptidoglycan, teicholic acids, protein A and DNA of Staphylococcus were studied. All the substances have specific IR-spectra in the 800-1800 cm-1 position. The cytoplasm and DNA produce the most informative IR-spectra. IR-spectra of the cell walls, cytoplasm, teichoic acids and DNA may be employed to study the chemical composition of Staphylococcus depending on conditions of its cultivation and biological activity.
