Patients with cerebrovascular disease (40) were treated with oral sustained release papaverine. The large percentage of improvements registered especially in patients with TIA and ischemic cerebral damage, as well as the good tolerance show this drug to be valuable in the treatment of transient or chronic cerebral ischemic disease.
