The arterial pressure and the elasticity of intact and relaxed walls of the arteries of the extremities were studied in patients with neurocirculatory dystonia and in healthy subjects of the same age. In the dystonic patients, the average elasticity quotient of the arterial walls relaxed by counterpressure was significantly higher. The asymmetry of this parameter on the extremities of the same side (especially on the shanks) was greater than in the healthy subjects. The volumetric elasticity module of the walls of intact vessels showed only an asymmetry exceeding the norm.
