Four calves were exposed to aerosols of one of two strains of M. bovirhinis (Br624 and Br666) isolated from lungs of calves with pneumonia. They colonized the upper part of the respiratory tract but did not produce respiratory disease. None of nine strains of Ureaplasma produced respiratory symptoms in four more calves, and no ureaplasmas were recovered 15 days later.
