Migration of peritoneal macrophages and macrophages isolated from the spleen of hamsters with transplanted melanotic melanoma in presence of amelanotic melanoma cells as an antigen was studied. Migration of macrophages from hamsters grafted with amelanotic melanoma in the presence of melanotic melanoma cells as an antigen was also determined. Macrophage migration inhibition was not observed in either system, which suggests that these 2 melanoma lines do not share common antigens but have individually specific ones.
