Guinea pig peritoneal exudate cells were treated with human tonsillar lymphocyte extract in vitro or in vivo. The macrophage migration inhibition test was set up with normal and extract-treated cells. Old tuberculin, PPD . Lymphocytic extract without any Ag did not affect the macrophage mobility. Staphylococcal antiphagin alone inhibited cell migration slightly. Preliminary treatment of the cells in vivo or in vitro with lymphocytic extract essentially enhanced their sensitivity to staphylococcal antiphagin. Other Ag induced no inhibition of macrophage migration before or after the treatment of the cells with lymphocytic extract.
