Tentorium in Leptocorisa varicornis Fabr. (Heteroptera -- Coreidae)

Studies of the tentorium in L. varicornis revealed the presence of a well developed tentorium. Anterior tentorial arms are vertically hanging plates to which the antennal levator and retractor muscles of mandibular styles are attached. Posterior tentorial arms are clearly amalgamated with the posterior hypopharyngeal wing forming a complex structure called a hypopharyngeal tentorial complex. The tentorium in L. varicornis is represented by anterior pits, anterior tentorial arms, posterior tentorial pits and a hypopharyngeal tentorial complex which is entirely different from previous descriptions of this lung.
