ATP-ase and 5'-nucleotidase activity of the nuclear matrix of the rat liver

Ultracytochemical and biochemical methods were used to demonstrate that the isolated nuclear matrix of the rat liver possesses ATPase and 5'-nucleotidase activity. The latter activity in the nuclear matrix is 3 times higher and ATPase activity 3 times lower than in the isolated nuclei.
