The solid phase consists of rabbit antiferritin immunoglobulin G adsorbed onto microtitre plates. Ferritin from standards or samples binds to the solid phase and is detected by a conjugase consisting of the antiferritin IgG and horseradish peroxidase. The method takes 5 h and is precise. The range is 1 to 64 mu g/litre and serum has to be diluted 10-fold.
