The effect of lymphoid chalone on secondary immune response was studied in Wistar rats using soluble (tetanic anatoxin) and corpuscular (typhoid vaccine) antigens. Chalone injected simultaneously with revaccination, or 24 h before it inhibited antibody formation and decreased the content of B-patch-forming cells in blood. Chalone injection 5 days before revaccination stimulated the secondary immune response.
