Liquid chromatography was used to determine a methanolic extract of different vitamin A preparations: acetic, propionic, palmitic, esters, concentrates and insaponifiables. The procedure is suitable for oily solutions of fat soluble vitmains and dispersible forms of A vitamin. B.H.A. (antioxidants) are separated on bonding to a C group to microsilica column for reverse phase system, with acetonitrile/water (55/45) as mobile phase. Determination is by comparison with a reference solution and with menadion as internal standard.
