The effect of different prostaglandins insoluble protein, released into the medium. The protein synthesized in the incubation media and in the perfusate, when analyzed on polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, coincided with authentic sheep plasma erythropoietin. From agar gel double diffusion studies, it was evident that in presence of PG and MT, the synthesized proteins of the incubation media as well as of the perfusate, cross reacted with anti-erythropoietin serum, giving a single precipitation line. PG and MT stimulated the synthesis of erythropoietin under both the experimental conditions.
