Dermatitis associated with Cheyletiella infestation in cats

Cheyletiella mites were isolated from eight cats with pruritic dermatitis characterized by erythematous papules or increased scaling. Lesions cleared after treatments with malathion (dips) or pyrethrin (shampoos).
