Field experiments on lands recultivated [with wheat, barley, peas, clover] after open-cuts mining show that the dehydrogenase (tetrazolium reductase) activity is connected with microflora [bacteria, fungi] vitality. Microorganisms growing on starch-and-ammonia agar and on soil agar are most closely connected with the reduction of tetrazolium salts (r01 = 0.544 and r01 = 0.551, respectively).
