Five cases of schistosomiasis associated with lesions of the cervix are reported from Zimbabwe. Comparison of the prevalence of schistosomiasis between 4 groups of patients (including ones from a post-natal clinic, with a red cervix, with abnormal cytology, and with carcinoma of the cervix) suggest that the parasite is not a significant cause of cervical abnormalities.
