Preparation K and its active components (the substance 2F and fraction of O-containing substances) possess a developed effect on some biochemical characteristics of the fungus inhibiting its endogenic respiration and excretion of lipases into the medium and changing the isoenzymic spectrum of malate and glutamate dehydrogenases. The fractional composition and electrophoretic mobility of easily-soluble proteins in M. lanosum are affected by preparation K and its active components.
