Variation of liquid nitrogen quality in a container

In containers used for storing tissues, which were cooled by liquid N, the change in quality of N during their long-term storage was observable. On the basis of theoretic analysis and experimental investigation, it was stated that pouring liquid N with higher contents of O2 into the containers with tissues may after a longer time increase very considerably the concentration of O2. That is why pouring liquid N more often, in smaller doses and in the purest state, is recommended.
