For 4466 Queensland, Australia, children 6 to 12 years old the height, bodyweight and skinfold thickness were measured in 1976 and compared with results for 1911 and 1950. Aboriginal children were generally smaller than Caucasian, Caucasian children did not differ significantly from those in New South Wales, and there was no longer any difference in height between social classes. Secular increases in height and bodyweight had become much smaller in the last 26 years.
