The skull growth pattern is the result of a complicated growth process which varies from individual to individual. Since repercussions on the growth process may be expected from orthodontic treatments of growing individuals, it is necessarily of interest to have an intimate knowledge of the manner in which the individual growth pattern reacts to diverse orthodontic measures and, thus, to be able to forecast favorable or unfavorable reactions.
