The arterial vascularization of malignant melanoma was studied in a golden hamster (M. auratus Waterhouse) during 5 wk of the tumor passage. The tumor vessels showed pathologic vascularization features. There was an increase in vascular network density at the site of the implanted tumor tissue, which, with the tumor growth, persisted only on its surface and was less abundant than during the 1st weeks of its growth. No vascularization of the tumor mass, except the capsule, was ascertained.
