Thin-walled sarcocysts from the muscles of Capreolus capreolus were fed to 2 domestic cats and 2 dogs. From day 11, both dogs shed typical sarcosporidian sporocysts, measuring 15.3 X 10.0 mu m, some of which were paired as oocysts until day 27. Sporocysts were still being excreted on day 46. No sporocysts were shed by the cats.
