The experimental peptic ulcer in rats is accompanied by exhaustion of the noradrenalin supply in the stomach paries and its different sections. Tumefaction and loosening of mucosa and submucosa, changes of the RNA cytotopography and organization of colored areas were noted along with biochemical changes. Induction of quaterone prevents development of morphological changes of mucosa and exhaustion of monoamine supplies caused by trauma. The preparation increases the mucus content which is very important for the mechanism of antiulcer effect of quaterone.
