In a study of 500 patients with chest disease, aspergilloma or probable aspergilloma were found in 5 (1%). All patients had cavitary pulmonary tuberculosis of long standing. The Aspergillus precipitin test was the most valuable diagnostic technique. Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA) was found in 18, and 15 showed probable ABPA. It commonly affected bronchial asthma patients. Only 2 (0.4%) showed invasive A. infection and the basic disease was leukaemia.
