The patient adapting to contacts, the overwearing syndrome, the lens surface and edges, the foreign body, the traumatized eye, the ocular/lid infection, and the allergy can all exhibit many similar symptoms. The innocent contact lens is often held accountable for problems that have their etiology in diametrically opposed areas.
